Career Mapping
Students literally mapped out professionals' career paths on large pieces of butcher paper. The visual representations helped students see that careers are often twisted paths that can be influenced by many factors and, while it is important to have goals, being open to experiences can lead to positive changes. Students overwhelming enjoyed the networking and left with a more realistic understanding of careers. Professionals reflected on their career paths, connected with high school students, and networked with other professionals.
